110 ("one-ten") Station Wagon (if pre 1990), Defender 110 Station Wagon if from 1990. Alexander to confirm. When does this action take place? -- Last edit: 2006-08-29 13:39:51 |

The episode is from 1991 according to IMDB, that does not help to identify the car precisely |

Then I would bet on a recent (for the period) Defender 110 Station Wagon... Let's see what Alexander (or someone else) thinks of it -- Last edit: 2006-08-29 13:46:15 |

It is a Land Rover One-Ten County Station-Wagon. The side trim (beige lines) were used for the first County versions. Later versions used different designs. |

uhm ... no Defender. Side stripes and painted wheel-arches are from the pre-Def era. I bet on a late '80s 110 'County' (red body, white wheels are a later combination), engine I cannot define. |

The red paint ('Masai Red') and white wheel-rims were available right from the start, as far as I know, 1984 latest, with the arrival of the Ninety. Link to "digiads.com.au" And Ben, you won your bet! Eight years is very recent for a Land-Rover! Just run in! -- Last edit: 2006-08-29 14:02:11 |

I'm constantly amazed by the interest and information about Land Rover and the 'Defender' type vehicles... I nearly didn't post this picture but the colour combination on a Land Rover was so unusual I did anyway. Thanks My interest in Land Rovers was quite different but I'm now seeing them differently. |

... and if you drive one around and tinker with it then it may become true affection ... |

leolito, I stopped 'tinkering' with cars some time ago now but I wouldn't mind owning a well-used V8 powered version that could withstand the dings and scrapes you get in the city and in car parks. -- Last edit: 2006-08-30 23:54:41 |
