With the head lights digging in to the bumper it should be fitted with a D 8 or DS 8 (with turbo) engine. That is a LB 80 (or the very rare twin rear axle LBS 80), or the slightly tougher LB 85, LBS 85, if made 1975 or earlier, or LB 81, LBS 81, or LB 86, LBS 86 if made 1976+. One way to at least see if it's the earlier or later version is to study the wiper arms. It should be in aluminium if early and black if later. But then again, they could've been changed... Edit: Does this one have wiper blades for the head lights? I think that is one difference between the earlier and later model. -- Last edit: 2012-04-25 10:09:05 |

Agree with a LB80 in any configuration. Wipers are due to Swedish regulations, I believe, not to MY. According to guide lines on this site it should be listed as 1968 Scania LB80, even if it might be a much newer model. -- Last edit: 2012-06-13 03:40:54 |
