This very clearly is a 1967 Mercury Colony Park, not a 1966 Mercury Colony Park. The obvious difference is that through 1966 the woodgrain trim on the Colony Park was surrounded by molding, and from 1967 onwards the woodgrain trim was surrounded by chrome. (This became the main styling difference between the Mercury Colony Park and the Ford Country Squire, which retained the molding through its demise.) In addition, the right front fender indicates this is a 1967 Merc, not a 1966 Merc. |

It's even more blatant than that, WAGONGUY. In '66, the woodtone on the front fender tapered down into a point rather than being wide all the way to the front end like the subject car, but perhaps that's what you were alluding to when you said "right front fender". Making the change. -- Last edit: 2012-08-27 21:55:32 |

That's right, Commander. I meant the lack of the tapering, as well as the fact that the front cornering lamp on a 1966 CP would have been visible from this angle. Thanks for the added clarification. |
