Nissan Atlas/Isuzu Elf or a Chinese copy. The headlight assembly does not match with the Japanese ones. |

scene was filmed in United Arab Emirates, so this kinda sucks cos you have to use google translate in arab to try to find it |

This scene was partly filmed in Canada -- because of the dust storm, you can't tell the difference. So it could be UAE new, used Japanese in the UAE, Canada new or used Japanese in Canada. ![]() |

So that is why the headlights do not look Japanese, because they are sealed-beam in Canada. Link to "pictures.dealer.com" |

Upon further investigation and by that i mean 3 minutes of thinking, it might be filmed in UAE after all. At least three of these Isuzu NPRs have GCC spec vins. Further more, if this exact shot was really filmed in Canada then they really nailed the details for a UAE operated truck with the Arabic Weight & Carry writings, the excessive use of black/yellow arrow tape among other things. On top of all that, the other traffic cars seen during the sand storm chase seems eerily accurate for a UAE setting. Either by accident or they had a really good attention to details. When Movies "fake" a location, they usually either end up with regular local cars that was never sold in the setting's location (ex. A Mitsubishi Minica in KSA ) or end up heavily leaning towards the extreme ends of stereotypes (Middle East = ""crappy"" old W123s/Hilux or shiny Supercars, nothing in between). tl;dr Gulf Spec Isuzu NPRs also had the whole sealed beam thing so i dunno really. -- Last edit: 2023-02-06 15:51:16 |
