I guess the chrome trim around the window makes this an '01' But I've no idea if it's a 1301 or 1501, or if there is even a way to tell |

I don't know of any separating detail, but can suggest some assumptions instead. Plate looks CWK or CWX series. CWK came with K March-April 72, and is Coventry (where Chrysler registered all their fleet cars), CWX came with H Jan 70, Yorkshire. UK did not get 1301 estate until Sept 70, had become 1301 Special by early 72, but never sold well. 1501 estate available from Oct 66, by Jan 70 was Special, ditto in early 72 and steady seller. So if plate is CWX, car is 1501 Special; if CWK is either 1301 Special or 1501 Special. I guess 1972 1501 Special estate is most likely because of the greater number of Coventry registered cars and higher sales of 1501. |
