1948 Dublin plate. |

According to my source book, not correct. ZC started in March 1937, and ZD in January 1940, putting the car between those two dates. Looks to be a 25/30 but I don't recognise the caochbuilder. |

Oops - misreading across a page join so a line jumped. Agree your dates, by Jan 39 ZC had reached 6276 so this is early/mid 39. |

Might be a Wraith, then. It's difficult to be exact unless you know the car since coachbuilders designs do tend to be anachronistic in some cases. |

The shape is prewar Hooper -- Last edit: 2012-10-08 11:38:42 |

Is this a Wraith, too? Note the plate! It was even photographed (by my Mom in September 2007) in the wider, dsl-country, at Link to "www.historic-scotland.gov.uk" |

Seems a genuine plate as a 1947 4250cc car, and locally registered to Clackmannanshire which included Linlithgow. But I cant trace xSL 123 series as period issues, so probably re-registered. |

Definitely re-registered. As a teenager I was tempted by a Triumph Tiger Cub (1956+) registered SL 4396. |

It is definitely not a Wraith. A Phantom III for sure with those dimensions and the way it looks. |

Yes, Phantom III Saloon by Hooper or Park Ward 1936 - 1939, which must have been given a numberplate after the war |
