I'll say yes to Tamsin. According to: http://homepage.mac.com/tvr43/history/wedge.html first US sales in 1983. As the episode aired in 1985 it can also be a 280i but as we cannot tell the year or model of the car the best option is 1983 TVR Tasmin as earliest possibility. Unfortunately this is the best view you get of it. The car was never shown up close except for an interior shot of the driver. |

Some info on Tasmin in US/CDN with names and dates here. It was called Tasmin 280i until Oct 85, later than elsewhere. |
