Maybe a big 1938-40 Borgward, 2000 or 2300? First car to bear F. W. Borgward's own name |

I was thinking about Opel Admiral. The door opening is correct but extra windows over rear doors aren't. |

I was thinking of a prototype of the Opel Admiral of 1940 too, but it seems to be a prototype of a 'Super Olympia' ("Stretched" version with a much bigger 'boot') of 1940 that never came into production. Only the fenders were used on the 1950/'51 version (face-lift) of the Opel Olympia. The photo was taken in the ruins of the Opel factory in Russelsheim (Germany) in 1945. Within a year this factory was already producing spare parts and in 1947 car production was resumed again... |
