dsl ◊ 2012-01-17 22:49	Both these are based on 1981+ HL so probably same age and they look the same conversion. Crayford designed convertible Minis in 2 versions from 60s onwards (with or without the fixed rear side windows) with the fixed window design being unusual. So these may well be Crayford, though maybe marketed by someone else.
Sandie ◊ 2012-01-29 01:58	Another in 2.04: So that's three dodgy Mini convertibles so far all with close numberplates; J68445, J68440 and J68444. Maybe all owned by a local hire company? I cannot find anything useful on the net searching for Mini Convertible Bergerac, Mini Convertible Jersey, Mini Crayford Bergerac or Mini Crayford Jersey.

David1955 ◊ 2018-02-10 12:13	These minis were built by Eastern Garage ,Corringham, Essex by myself and my father,they used a cut down TR7 convert able closing panel and hydraulic rams for the roof operation. We built these for a hire company in Jersey, also for private clients in the UK, they were only built to order.

David1955 ◊ 2018-02-11 13:43	We converted a total 26 minis as we were only a small business, there was a plate on the bonnet closure panel ( EG Conversions ) We also converted 2 Range Rovers using a half mould of the bonnet to use as a rear closing panel for the soft top.
