GTI, not DTR or TRD

Were turbodiesel ones really marketed as 1.8 in UK? Usually they were called 17 TZD/TRD Turbo, even if displacement was 1769, so closer to 1.8, but, watching the episode, it's indeed identified as "1800 turbo diesel" in the graphics

I'm fairly sure it was 17TRD here tbh.

1800 as presented or 1.8 as listed is not the Citroën way, these enginges were labelled 17. Mostly sold as 17 TRD, for obvious reasons they usually changed to 17 DTR for English speaking markets

This is not one anyway, you may argue that the fogs were a matter of "cut and paste" but with a black chevron badge this is like @jorgemenA91 already has stated a 1987+ BX 19 GTI (c)citroenet.org.uk

@Bux48, do you have a link to that episode?

Yes: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=emb_title&v=sEZEEbAqgfc ;)
Didn't notice the GTI black chevron..probably the diesel one is the other one visible in the same part then..

Series 3 smoked taillights, rear cheese knife like a GTI. Closest match is a 1769 TZD, fogs and cheese knife not used on the TRD/DTR. Badged BX TZD Turbo see also here so no need for engine size in listing

TZD seen with or without a "window" in the C-pillar, this is without

There's the chevron color issue, though, but there were a pile of special editions as well

Edit: Dead link

Wikipedia loves to use parenthesis in their web addresses and they can't be copy/pasted.

TZD replaced DTR in Dec 89 here, with grey strips in bumper listed as recognition feature. H614 GDP registered on 09-08-1990 (manual, diesel, hatch, grey) - no model title given.

Yes, they offered quite a few "Z" cars towards the end- often stuffed with options

Same here, I checked and 17 TZD replaced 17 TRD in November 1989 among Turbodiesel ones, with a richer equipment, and it went to the end. There was also the "Ourane" (10/92 to 8/93) which I recall as quite rare.

Think "Ourane" was sold here too, but called "Hurricane".

TZD badge w/o Turbo would be the 1905cc 52kW engine

Yes, I was just speaking about Turbodiesel ones, I should have specified TRD Turbo and TZD Turbo :)

night cub wrote Wikipedia loves to use parenthesis in their web addresses and they can't be copy/pasted.

The end ')' parenthesis has a quirk here. Just use the url and /url to fix the problem.
