Ford Taunus 17m (P2) Kombi. According to my source (Deutsche Autos 1945-1975 by Werner Oswald) the P3 series estates/wagons where the first ones called "Turnier". All previous German Ford estates/wagons were called "Kombi". The term became vernacular for all estates/wagons in Germany, that's why Ford of Germany coined the trademark moniker "Turnier" for it's wagons commencing with the P3. -- Last edit: 2011-12-18 14:19:06 |
