SixtiesSwing ◊ 2023-02-18 22:04	What's interesting is that I believe not only is that a red '71, but that is likely the Shell Station that was used in "Diamonds Are Forever" when Tiffany cuts off Dr. Metz after he fills the tank so that Bond can sneak inside his Ford Club Wagon and get into Whyte Techtronics. That station's actual location was in close proximity to the International Hotel that served as "The Whyte House" in the Bond film. I doubt the Shell station or the Mustang is included as a reference to that film, although you never know considering there is already so much of an homage to Bond, what with "JB", his silver Aston-Martin, and George Lazenby playing the role.....and of course the Las Vegas setting. All I remember from this TV film is that "thrilling" chase of the DB5 and the wheezy Dodge 400 convertible that EVEN THEN didn't look like it was very capable of getting out of its own way. A well-kept DB6 could easily keep up with contemporary 21st Century traffic....the Dodge 400? I don't think it could keep up with much even then.
