Probably NZ assembled - production list in /vehicle.php?id=372839 comments. I go for 1973+ 2500 TC from visible trim; also it was the largest production.

This car is in fact a 1978 2500S. I know since I sold the car to the movie. They changed the wheels and painted it red. I can see the dent on the driver side of the bumper courtesy of a drunk parking exercise. I guess the initial killer elite was made in 1975 and probably set a little earlier, so they had to make the car look a bit older than it is.

Or the other explanation is they had the red UK car filmed in South Wales - seen in /vehicle_449124-Ford-Capri-1969.html - and had to make the Aus car look like it. Looks as if they removed and did not refit the black 2500S trim on boot and rear panel.

There is no connection between this film and that one apart from having similar titles.
