FFV is not a trim level. Please remove from extra information. All that tells us is this Taurus was equipped with the Vulcan 3.0 motor.

Trim levels in 1996-1997 were G (not a G since this has alloys), GL (most likely what this is based off the alloys), and LX which has the chrome sporty rims. Oh and the SHO but I do not recall every seeing the SHO with the FFv badge.

agree for 1998 but trim is inconclusive as the wheels are option for both LX and SE according to brochure Link to "oldcarbrochures.org"

dhill : you know probably this by now but the SHO having a 3.4 L V8 for that gen , it won't have that 3.0 Vulcan badge


push for alcohol.. that one would be great for Homer .. :D
