Do we get to see the radiator? Episode 3 played here last week so I will have to wait for a while to see this one. The long engine hood suggest it might be a Sunbeam 24/60.

Possibly HA9165, a Sunbeam (Limousine)?

If I'm right the front maybe visible in another scene. Assuming they are the same car...

That looks like it. I am not sure which model it is though because Sunbeam did not do an engine as big as 6 1/2 litres - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/index.html - their biggest engine was the straight eight - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/thirty.htm - and even that was only 5 1/2 litres. The 24/60 was 4 1/2 litres - http://www.sunbeam.org.au/models/24_60.htm - .

Has the series progressed in date from episode three? That was in 1917. This car looks to be mid 1920s.

It is now (in episode 7) immediately post-WWI so about 1918-9 with the outbreak of 'Spanish Flu' pandemic due to become apparent.

Yes I have had confirmation that it is a 20/60, fitted with a different plate for filming.

Quite a bit out of place then, this episode takes place in 1919.

HA 9165 must date to sometime about 1934; my grandfather once had a 1933 Austin Seven [RN] registered HA 8579. Just saying ...

The first HA xxxx plate issued in 1933 was 8500 and in 1934 was 9200, so 9165 would be Nov/Dec 33, pretty much as chris40's comment.

Sunbeam 20/60 model run was 1924 to 1926. One vehicle with Chassis Number 1033/E was erected on 4th. February 1924 and was first registered as NP5462.
More recently that car was registered HA9165 and garaged near Holcombe, Somerset. In earlier episodes the car was seen in a dark-red colour.
The car appeared as black or dark blue in later series.
