Me fait penser à une Buick 1928, mais le radiateur ne corresponds pas. |

Le haut de gamme Oldsmobile 1928 = à vérifier (je n'ai pas accès à ma bibliothèque) |

??? The pictures and period ads I have seen of the Oldsmobile L28 series Landau sedan ( with the leather covered roof and landau irons ) have two lateral windows and not three as on this one .I do however not have a period catalogue to check if there was a three window listed but apparently according to the ads there was only a sedan and a landau sedan , both two lateral windows. Also this one seems to have twelve spoke wheels , Oldsmobiles 1928 had 10.When looking at the 1928 Buicks six windows with landau irons , these extended above the rear window , not the case on this one so a General Motors body is also ?.The body here is very ressembling to the 1928 Hudson 7 seater sedan with the landau irons behind the rear window and 12 spoke wheels but front fenders on the Hudson were more rounded .Conclusion : further search |

SOS PILOU Autre possibilité (mais ici je travaille de mémoire): une Marquette 1928 ou 1929. Les Marquettes étaient des Buick "moins chères" avec moteur Oldsmobile. Existait-il un Marquette Landau sedan ??? |

Never seen a similar body style on a Marquette , so still in the dark |

Exact, je viens de vérifier, les Marquette étaient plus "basic" |

Yes , I think you got the fish here : La Salle series 303 five passenger sedan with leather back of 1927 : it has three lateral windows ,landau irons do not extend above the rear quarter window and there appears to be a slight incurvation at the height of the upper landau fixation in the rear quarter window as on the La Salles , hood louvres are also quite large as on the period La Salles.Nice spotting and the pleasure of another identification on this fascinating site ! |

A late update. The rear quarter treatment tells us that this is a Fisher body sedan on the 134"wb. There were three variants; Five passenger Imperial (8090), Seven passenger Imperial (8070) and Seven passenger sedan (8060). -- Last edit: 2010-08-05 03:26:07 |
