I guess this part was not just set in France but also filmed in France? (non-sealed beams)
It is not listed under filming locations.

Indeed, if you watch the HD trailer you can see that the CX has an American-style sidemarker.

Two independent importers sold the CX in the US and modified it to meet US requirements.

It's got the same side strip as the CXA, which was never used in Europe. And teh high roof makes it a Prestige as well.
