A page about this car: https://www.redliners.ru/talk/viewtopic.php?t=4994 Unfortunately the year is not mentioned and no plates visible, but we know it's a 'Me Edition'. |

These were EDM models for the ME-Edition. Unsure if the code was [ED9] or [EE8]. @bux48 ever hear of this edition ? I think only 100 were made. ![]() https://www.crxcommunity.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=62608 |

You have to click on gamer's link. It was a ME-Edition but you will have to translate Russian I believe. The edition is not an authentic Honda product but Honda was definitely there to support the after market company by the brochure I linked. |

Now I see it. Looks quite different from the brochure, a different kit, or more and more tuning? ![]() I believe in the post it says D16A9 motor? |

Yes heavily tuned. I could not locate the year or the chassis code. |

If this is really a German car, this is not unusual. It's a thing here: special editions exclusively available at specific dealers. Kinda like that thing Japanese manufacturers do where they operate a chain of dealers, and you can only get specific cars there. I never ever would have guessed it's one of these editions. ![]() |

ME-Edition was the tuning department at Autohaus Manfred Ernst of Witten, a licensed Honda dealership back then: "We are specialists in the conversion of Honda automobiles". In that respect, Bux_48 comes the closest, as this is an act of conventional tuning rather than a dealer's edition. The brochures go as far as they can, resembling contemporary Honda advertising and promotional material without violating copyright or trademarks, so I wouldn't place a bet about how supportive Honda Germany actually were - I'd expect more of a mutual non-aggression pact here. Autohaus Manfred Ernst still exists, now in second generation, but is no longer an authorized Honda dealer. Their current racing activities look like this. Disclaimer: Please don't ask me any questions about it - this is experimental field research with zero interest in Honda, tuning or even Honda tuning. Thx. ![]() |

Highway Kart Racing - ah, a classical nonsensical right-but-wrong European English title, like here: /vehicle.php?id=800476 I'd think you'd be arrested if you did that. ![]() -- Last edit: 2021-06-22 21:10:29 |
