Carcrasher88 is correct.

Supposed to be in Washington, DC, based on the license plate and the 23 St. SE street sign, but the skyscrapers in the third thumbnail are a dead giveaway that this is not actually in DC.

Does anyone else here see the Firestone sign to the right, and the Chevy Trucks in the window of the building?

The signs identify the intersection as 23rd and P streets. The only such intersection is by Rock Creek Park in Northwest.

Because Hollywood loves to destroy classic cars.
It's just a thing with them.

I wonder too.

One possibility, as Ford_Guy suggests: (I hope it is true)
They had that car as CGI model, and it was easier to make the whole scene car+robot in CGI (and they used a real one for the beginning of the scene, undamaged then)

It may not drive anymore, but it will live on a stationary background car. A tiny morsel of life, that is. :(

It was a wreck before. Look at the back right fender - rust, dirt and filling paste. Junk.

Kannst du dazu was sagen.

It looks like they used a lot of CGI magic. They were able to cover up the rust and make the paint nicer. You can tell by the very unique damage that its the same car but they made it look really clean for the movie. At least half the movie was CGI,Im just surprised they used it to make a rusted car look nicer.

:hello: Ja, bin ich. Kannst Du mir das Bild mailen? Adresse siehe Profil.
