I think this is a special DB4 with the big hood scoop, but photos of DB4GT show faired-in headlights and single side lights as the normal arrangement. Is this very early DB4GT or DB4 Lightweight? |

DB4 Series I, II & III had a large bonnet scoop with smaller scoop introduced on the series IV. DB4GT had clear headlamp covers. According to http://www.astonmartins.com/db4_5_6_s/db4_s123.htm and http://www.astonmartins.com/db4_5_6_s/db4_s4.htm Early cars suffered from overheating, DB4 Series I, bumpers without over-riders from October 1958. |
