Initially its products were mainly for the civilian market, and included the Ford Escort, Ford Transit, Ford trucks (cargo D- series and LTS 9000) and school buses. In later years the company concentrated on the military market, assembling Jeeps, Dodge Trucks (D-100/500, W-200/600), the AMG M800 series tactical truck, International Navistar and Freightliner trucks and AIL's self-designed light tactical truck - the M- 325 Commandcar and its successor ABIR. Currently AIL sells its products mainly to the Israel Defence Forces and police, as well as to export markets.
Assaf ◊ 2007-10-29 09:50	Jeeps have been assembled in Israel since 1953. CJ-3A, CJ-3B, DJ-3A, to name but a few. Production was in Haifa till 1985, and subsequently re-located to Nazareth (that's AIL), where a local version of the TJ is still being built.
