A badge reading 1600 was supposed to be visible in the first thumb, but it seems that I've accidentally cropped it away when batch removing the black borders - as the black borders tended to live a life of their own in this movie, a pixel or two of some pics were lost ... |

This is an Egyptian style taxi. |

It fits, then [131A.1]. Sad, that more of badge was not visible because sometimes it was just "S" and sometimes full word "Special". |

The number plate is a real Egyptian taxi plate. http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/jpglps/AF_Egypt_OT.jpg The 131 was assembled in Egypt by El Nasr: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_131#Other_producers |

It perhaps had to be. On the other hand Nasr Wiki entry mentions that they assembled 131, but in Tofas version. And Tofas Murat 131 had the characteristic vent windows in front doors... |

The Fiat 131 entry says that El Nasr sourced 131 kits from Tofas, but only from 1991 onwards. |

Ok - interesting what was the make then. (And it is necessary to correct this one: /vehicle_135025-Nasr-Dogan-131A.html ) |
