The 205 van is called XA. With a diesel engine it's XAD.

XA/XAD were the utility versions. In some countries (France, Belgium) they just had to remove the rear seats. For other countries (UK, like this one), they had to also replace rear side windows by panels. The real van version (looking like Renault Express / Renault 4 F4 / etc.) was the "205 XA(D) Multi"

Portuguese taxation particularities meant that diesel-engined hatchbacks homologated as light commercial vehicles had a significant difference of price when compared to their 5-seat cousins. So, the 205XAD was a strong seller here (with rear side-windows but with an iron grille up to the top separating the front seats from the rear of the vehicle). It was even sold here a 205XAD Turbo (1769cc) which I think was unique to Portugal.
