1996. Here's the Saab factory in Trollhättan on Google Street View: Link to "maps.google.com" Gate closed and looking awfully quiet... Must have been a Sunday. |

It seems, that many pic they shot on Sundays. As from the house, where I lived in until summer 2005 Link to "maps.google.com" It was shot on a Sunday fore sure - you can see my wife's Astra G standing besides my Omega in the backyard. Back then she lived in annother town, so we have met only at weekends. The pic must be from late autumn 2004, because the vegetation is sparse, but still green, without the winter's dirt. The blue Astra was bought in September 2004 and in Summer 2005 I moved out of that apartment. |

I'm sure the pictures were taken before the shut down in April. BMW seems equally deserted: Link to "maps.google.com" Some other car factories on Google Earth: Link to "popularclassics.forumcircle.com" |

Huuh, nearly forgotten, but your link kicks the memory back. This afternoon I've watched this documentary http://neo.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/18/0,1872,8085714,00.html?dr=1 - and in a scene, filmed in Belarus (at a gas station in Brest, IIRC), there was a Triumph Dolomite clearly visible A really rare sight over there, or? -- Last edit: 2011-08-27 22:20:13 |
