14stutz ◊ 2023-12-16 20:58	The American made tanks were produced by Maxwell and the C.L. Best tractor company as well as.the previously !mentioned Van Dorm Iron Works in Cleveland, Ohio. While only a few U.S. built examples made it to France before the armistice, more than 1,100 were produced and they were the standard American light tank until the '30s. That explains how one survived to appear in this series. One book, the well regarded "U.S. Military Tracked Vehicles" by Fred Crismon, (1992) reports at least four survivors. I wonder where that example is today?
