Alfa-Romeo for sure (100%) but don't ask me what year or model. Probably Giuglia or Giuglietta convertible from around 1975 (30% sure). I'm more interested in the Rolls, at far right (probably a "Silver Cloud" from around the same era), which is shown below in a couple more caps from this movie. As you can see, this one does not have the small, amber, side-marker lamp on the front fender, that is clearly visible in the other image; so it is de3finitely NOT the same car. |

It was listed as "1956 Lancia Aurelia Convertible [B24]" |

I also think it is an Aurelia Spider. The most interesting car however is tha Flaminia Coupe ahead of it. |

The black one is a Lancia Aurelia GT 2500 B 24 Spider 1956-8.The one in front of it is a Lancia Flaminia 2800 ca 1963, not the Touring but the factory coupe |

I couldn't have been "wronger", right? |

Carrozzeria Touring, who made the bodies for these Lancias, also supplied bodies to Alfa Romeo. From this angle they can easily be mistaken for one another. |

To correct the above: Both the Lancia Aurelia (the black car) and the Lancia Flaminia coupe (in front of it) have Pininfarina bodies, not Touring. But the Aurelia is not the "Spider" which had a wrap-around windshield and side curtains, but the "Convertible" with a traditional windshield and roll-up side windows. (See the discussion for "The Easy Life".) Approx. 247 Spiders and 526 Convertibles were made in 1956-58. (I own a black convertible, similar to the one in the film. Mine is on the Aurelia "5th series" platform; the one in the film looks to be a "6th series" from the trim on the trunk, but the photo is not very clear.) -- Last edit: 2006-11-25 04:25:34 |

I agree that it's a Convertibile ( not a Spider ) and, since it's left-hand drive, a [B24S]. |
