Vauxhall Carlton in UK. Some Holden's look like it. As does the Cadillac Escalade, built on it's platform. This is an Opel. |

The American version would be the Cadillac Catera, the Escalade is an SUV built of a GM Yukon platform. |

both previous entries are incorrect. The car was known as the Vauxhall Senator in UK, carlton was known as the opel omega A on the continent. No american version of this car existed. The Cadillac Catera is the American version of the Vauxhall Omega or Opel Omega B. The Cadillac Escalade being a 4x4 has no connection whatsoever to the Senator. The closed Holden relation to this car would be the Holden Commodore of same vintage which shared a common bodyshell design. -- Last edit: 2006-03-16 18:46:23 |
