Difficile d'être affirmatif sur cette vue. Mais sur la page de la DS, on voit l'arrière et semble que ce soit une Vitesse 6 1962+ |

Citroen ref is /vehicle.php?id=420161 . I don't have colour info, but think this blue was about 1965-66 onwards, and the plate in that pic looks ABC 123C format with C suffix (1965), E (1967) or F (1967-8). |

Le Royal blue apparait en octobre 1964 pour les Spitfire. Mais je ne connais pas la date d'apparition pour les Vitesse... |

[New picture added] DVLA details for KLE 767D are: Date of Liability 28 04 1981 Date of First Registration 13 05 1966 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1596cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker Y Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour WHITE. Vehicle Type Approval Not Available Odd that DVLA has no trace of the car for 30 years and it's not white now. But it remains a Vitesse 6, now with early 66 date and a few months before Sept 66 launch of 2-litre Mk1. -- Last edit: 2011-11-22 02:24:10 |

Exported to France where this was filmed I guess. |

@Bebert - do you know of a blue 1966 RHD Vitesse 6 convertible - presumably now with French plates - in any of the French owners clubs? |

For what it's worth, the number plate (the physical object) isn't original because it has the narrow font introduced in 2001. But the number could still be genuine. |

My first reaction to the plate was it is a fake because of the font, but then I punched in the numbers. Then I had a pensive sip of coffee and decided that the font reminded me of either old BFPO style or old French plates as if the plate itself could have been remade in France for the film (now with a new thumb, it shows same font on back). The idea of a newly remade-in-UK plate with the narrow font is another avenue, but made me wonder if the older font is still available for old black and white plates - or has someone decided these have to be narrow font as well? |

I'm pretty sure that it's Charles Wright 2001 rather than a French font, and I have seen silver on black plates with it before. Perhaps the car's owner dug out the old British plates but the director/production designer/prop master/whoever thought they looked too grotty and had replacement plates made in the UK. |
