A few pretty cool, minor scenes with this E38 7-series. THIS IS NOT A 1994! The E38 came out in 1995 (US). Judging by the headlights, it's a `95-`98 E38 7-series. Can't remember if it's a 740i or 740iL. Not a 750iL. |

In the film, this car belongs to the father of the fat kid, whose house Willie stays at. The father, who was an accountant, has been in prison for a few years for embezzlement (it mentioned he is serving 3-6 years and will be released next year) and the kid lives at the house with only his senile grandmother (played by Chloris Leachman who plays nearly every crazy old lady part in Hollywood and does it well), so Willie can just walk in and take whatever he wants, the [deceptively] dumb kid thinks he is really Santa (even though he doesn't bother wearing his beard most of the time, he says to kids his fell out because he caught an STD off Mrs Santa's sister) and lets him have his dad's big BMW. Since he's been in prison for some time, that explains why the car is a few years old (this is the pre-1999 facelift version). Marcus (the hilarious Tony Cox), a midget who is Willie's partner-in-crime and plays Santa's helper in their scam, is dismayed to see Willie driving such a fancy car when they are supposed to be keeping a low profile. -- Last edit: 2006-09-03 21:27:57 |
