Would the side pipes indicate Excalibur?? |

Looks more like a Zimmer Golden Spirit to me. |

I think I've found it. This is a Sunrise, built by the Sunrise Automotive Corporation of Des Moines, Washington (not Iowa!) Note the design of the spare and the way the exhaust pipes are hidden: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d4/Sunrise_car.JPG Link to "lh3.googleusercontent.com" Link to "www.allcarindex.com" Another one here: http://landsverk.no/italy_2014/#9 I wonder what Animatronixx will say about this, other than ![]() |

Good job, man! I think you nailed it. ![]() Ross Vick of Sunrise Automobile Corporation Sunrise Automotive states he built 21 of these Cadillac-based Neo Classic limousines and this actually looks to be one of them. "El Grande" was the model name of this creation. ![]() You mean what I think of it? Then you nailed it again! While I do like Neo Classics in general and take them seriously as custom cars rather than oddities, I struggle with the Sunrise designs... OK, I'm actually so disgusted I just may have laughed all over my jacket! Boxy, clumsy, awkward shape, lacking any sort of elegance. Faux exhaust pipes look like Joe's Plumbers from downtown made a special offer. The front bumper is plain awful, the faux spare tire isn't integrated at all - just bolted to the fender. And let's not even talk about the "hood ornament" in this case... |

"Stretched Limousine" is rather superficial, as that will just make people believe it's a stretched version of a production car known as Sunrise El Grande |

Yeah, that's what it is! The majority of these appear to be standard wheelbase cars, but 21 of them were stretched ones, just like the one above. Sucks if you already wasted a name like "El Grande" for the regular ones and then release an even longer version. ![]() Did I mention the cheap Walmart spoke hubcaps, the miserably shaped front fenders and the oversized indicators yet? No offense to Mr. Vick, but this is what I call a redneck Neo-Classic spoof. |

Skylark convertible looks not that bad.. if it wasn't painted in yellow maybe he should call it El Really Grande or something like that.. -- Last edit: 2019-12-07 14:14:51 |
