Francesco’s Alfa Spider, which has the prominent front and rear spoilers, is from the period 1982 to 1991, a Series 3 model, and was available with a 1.6 or 2.0 litre engine. His particular Alfa Spider looks to have been made after 1986 because if the fascia layout. I think it is probably a 1.6 because it has plastic wheel trims, but don't know if they were fitted as standard or if they were fitted afterwards. -- Last edit: 2006-07-13 14:25:46

Hooligan ◊ 2007-03-22 21:30	Actually, I believe the Spider is a US-market 1988-1990 Graduate model. Note that there is a small silver "Graduate" emblem next to the side marker on the fender. The side marker was likely added when the car was re-imported to Europe. Other things that mark it as a US-market model are the fact that the spoiler has the "Center High Mount Stop Lamp" (CHMSL) build into the black ducktail-style spoiler and the spoiler says "Graduate." I think that the tan interior and those plastic hubcaps were first offered for '88, although they may have been a late-87 introduction. That's all! Great show.
