I think this could be a 1930s Russian GAZ truck, called GAZ-AA. Its the most similar looking truck I can find and I remember in the goofs section of imdb it said that the trucks were post WWI. -- Last edit: 2006-07-12 19:01:46 |

I hope this gets noticed over a year after the last posting ... it's not a GAZ AA; it doesn't resemble in the least a Ford AA, on which the GAZ was based. It might be a Leyland of the 20s or 30s but I'm open to correction on that. |

Agree with you, it can't be neither a Gaz AA nor a Ford AA |

Sorry, fck, but the ZiS-5 had a slightly longer bonnet/hood, and the front axle was set further forward. http://www.autogallery.org.ru/zis5.htm |

My guess this is Mercedes-Benz L3000 |

Nothing here looks Mercedes-ish. And not original somehow either... |

Radiator, fenders and cabin look very much like MB L. But probably it's not L3000 this one looks like 2 ton truck... |

The ZIS 5 is the closest so far. |

It´s no Russian car - itˇs a Praga - in this movie "plays" more old czech trucks (owned by Czech collector Mr. Samohyl - two weeks ago died). Some Pragas, Tatras, NWs, etc. |
