Are you sure it's a Taunus AND a Transit? That being said, if we can have the Sprinter for sale in America, then why not have the Transit for sale here, too? |

It started in 1953 as Ford FK1000, added with the FK1250 and indicators instead of semaphores in 1958, and received a name change to Taunus Transit in 1961. The next generation (1965 on) dropped the name part Taunus. This van here has definitely indicators but the front logo is not that of the Taunus Transit -- makes it a Ford FK1000 or FH1250 (1958-61). |

1958 received FK 1000 / FK 1250 lettering across the header panel. The front indicators were rectangular and placed right below the windshield. This van has the older badge and aftermarket round indicators. |
