No, mine has the licence-number DF30220. And I can't see the "Trend" sticker below the Passat-nameplate. |

The "Trend", also the "Trophy" were thrown on the market in 1987, shortly before the new model came out, because VW wanted to get rid off the old stuff. As usual, they were tamped with some extras and a special name to lure the customers. So they had several details of the top line-versions as the GT, but basicially it was a standard car. And VW made a good bargain offer for them. My all-day-vehicle between 1999 and 2004 was a real GT, not a wannabe "Trend" ![]() ![]() |

Why not? ![]() With some of this features, as the rims and the plastic-wheel-arches, mounted on a basic version (often with 75 hp) VW created the "Trend"-edition. |
