This car was built by Julio Hernandez in San Diego for the 2002 race season. It has run Bonneville and El Mirage every year since. In the 13 years since it was built it has missed only 3 lake meets. The day this scene of the film was shot it broke the landspeed class record at El Mirage. The top speed of this car to date is 226mph. It has put a driver in both the Bonneville 200 MPH Club and the El Mirage Dirty 200 MPH Club. |
