Its does get "destroyed" sadly. But you can tell its CGI damage, not real tangible damage.

This scene takes place in Chernobyl...we think. If it's true, then it might be a Russian Pullman

This is not a W100, it's a W108 based limo

Much less rare then... the old main picture was not very detailed, but when seeing it again when doing captures I had a thought about it being a W100

How so? The sealed-beam headlights? I think they're an improvement on this particular body style.

It has the US-spec sider markers. The double round headlights (at first US spec) were used after 1968 for the W109, but they became popular by owners of the smaller and older W108, too, for upgrading their poverty spec 250 S a bit into the 300 SEL-direction. And these lights are better than the oval Bilux-glooms, too.
They are looking very similar to the US-spex sealed beam lights, but outside America they were H1 or H4.

And the "mini whitewall tires" (with the small stripe on the side) are US spec, too. Never available over here.

P.S.The back doors have the SEL-length.

Sorry to burst all of your bubbles on here. According to the VIN plate on this car, it is a 1971 Mercedes 300 sel. The damage on the vehicle in the movie is real and not CG. The car was destroyed in the making of the movie. Several other mercedes have been scavenged for parts in an attempt to restore this vehicle.
