I think you're right (the XJ Wagoneer had two smaller recessed headlights instead of the one larger unit, right?). |

I know the earlier ones from the mid-1980's had the smaller stacked quad headlights. The metallic grille made me think it was a Wagoneer. |

It is a Wagoneer. The 4 headlight model didn't come around until 1986. The 1984 and 1985 models had the Cherokee front end with a different grill. |
