Could this be at the Grand Prix de l'ACF 1906 in the Sarthe. There the number 6A was a Mercedes driven by Jenatzy |

If it fits... It was generally about history of races in France. They didn't say what races are at the screen except if there were some really notable things (like accident in 1955 Le Mans). |

There is a more easily read version here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1906_French_Grand_Prix. Assuming this is the 1906 GP, yes this is Jenatzy's mercedes. He was the driver who won the 1903 Gordon-Bennett event in Ireland on a borrowed 60hp Mercedes after the 90hp cars were burnt in a fire. |
