@nzcarnerd: you probably have more useful sources than I. I've had a trawl through Google Images, but the only one that might match is a 1947 model ... in the USA. Most of the images are of [E493A]s. |

I had a book out from the library not too long ago about all of the small Fords where it made mention of these and had a couple of photos. Unfortunately at the moment the library, although I believe to be undamaged, is in the no go area of our earthquake ravaged city and it will be sometime (maybe up to a year?) before we can return our books and borrow more. I haven't searched yet but there must be a small Ford club in Oz who would know the car. |

According to wiki, chrome grille = Oct 47+ (midway thru A53A phase), continuing into 49+ A493A. |
