I found this contribution listed as 'just' Barford, model 100, but I only have found Aveling-Barford as machinery maker. Which is the correct maker?

I don't think this is an (Aveling-)Barford; I think it's a 1-ton Benford, like http://jcbdiggers.com/index.php?machine=1145 . Aveling-Barford, so far as I can tell, never made dumpers smaller than 3 tons; Barford did make a 1-ton, but it was completely different to this.

What a mess Chris!!. I found in this page http://www.oilyhands.co.uk/Archive18.htm#Wills_Benford a little Barford Dumper (see 3 & 4 lines), so...

@jcb: could you provide some more info about this Benford vs. Barford?

@vilero: Originally I based my suggestion on the fact that Benford favoured those pierced steered wheels, rather like those fitted to Morris Eights; you'll notice that the Barford's are solid. Compare /vehicle_210914-Benford-Dumper.html

Its a Barford 100 . The parent company was Aveling Barford but the small dumpers were always marketed under the Barford MAKE/ Name.
Incidentally Aveling Barford had a plant hire company called 'A+B Hire Ltd ' and this is one of theirs, see signwriting on side.
Benford were a completely different company , both makes were very popular 60s/70s and I bet it caused confusion back then ! :)
These Barford 100s had a very fancy curved rear toolbox / mudguard affair
