Ca 1910 Stanley Steamer Runabout Model 62 |

I have just been researching this one. I agree it is the small 10hp model but the year could be anywhere from about 1907-12. Model 62 was 1911-12. |

But, anyway, is Steamer the model name for all range 1907-1912? |

Steamer is not a model name for any Stanley. The Stanley Motor Carriage Co. only referred to their product as "Stanley", but colloquial use of the phrase "Stanley Steamer" to refer to all of their cars began very early on. The model is 62. 10hp cars didn't get the dropped axle until 1911, and this is a 1911. This is the same car as IMCDB #20470 The Great Race (which is not an EX). It carries serial # 5967. More information on this car is available on the Stanley Register. -- Last edit: 2011-02-10 00:52:47 |
