I'm not sure, but I think early GM trucks were just 1/2 ton, 1 ton etc. Besides the Apache. I think it looks like a 1 ton. |

The truck pictured is a little mixed up. The hood emblem is 1955. The side emblem is 1956. The Apache model name didn't show up until 1958. As far as I know. The truck has the short step, which makes it a short-box, and is generally only found on the 1/2ton. That would make it a 3100 model. '55/'56 Chevy 3100 |

(Main pic is 00:59:04 in 121 min. version)![]() ![]() (00:59:15 → the 3100 emblem // 01:00:03 → a 1955 fender emblem) 1955 hood emblem, one 1955 fender emblem, the other 1956 one. Which makes 2 hints for a 1955 MY vs. only one for the 1956 MY. A 1955 model ? As a Task-Force 3100 pickup, it has a 3104 chassis code: ⇒ 1955 Chevrolet Task-Force 3100 [3104]? -- Last edit: 2024-03-19 22:55:47 (humungus) |
