Although Vauxhall is the brand that GM uses in the UK, sometimes you see Opels around, with a British numberplate like this one. |

... usually as personal imports in a variety of circumstances. If RHD, the most usual situation would be from Eire or perhaps British Forces personnel or diplomats serving overseas and returning to UK with a tax-free/discounted car. |

Cheap imports sold through car supermarkets like Motorpoint also tend to be Opel badged and RHD. Topical as I saw an RHD Opel Insignia today. |

Although they're the same cars I'd rather have a Vauxhall than an Opel (badge and name aren't as nice), unless I lived in Europe and didn't have much of a choice. |

I also prefer the Vauxhall badge. Or even rather the Holden one |

@antp: do you have some boy-racer genes inside? They love to put Vauxhall-badges on their embarassing pimped Opels But I must admit, that I had the thought, to mound some Holden-badges on my Omega - but they doesn't fit. and the grille is not changeable due the different front Not even the T-Shirt is available /vehicle_188741-Holden-Commodore-Ute-VR-1993.html As a substitute my parents-in-law brought me from their trip -- Last edit: 2011-01-12 21:34:09 |

But what about the origin then? Wikipedia does not mention anything special, which sources do cite Chevrolet Brazil for the conception of that car? |
