Funny how the saloon version of the Astra was very well received in the south American markets (apparently it sold well in Russia as well) and it flopped in the UK. I'm told that in Brazil, just about every hatchback has a saloon version. The Polo has one, Corsa and Fiesta both have two saloon versions based on different generations of each car and the Grande Punto has a saloon version called "Linea". I guess south Americans, Brazilians specially, really love the small 4-door saloon.
