junkman 2006-03-13 13:49	It is definatly not a '79 Caprice. The 79 Caprice had the headlights almost flush with the grille and not recessed like this one.

Snookie 2006-03-23 02:30	This is a 1979 Chevy Impala. They changed the grille to that of a Caprice. Go to google image search, and look up "1979 Chevy Caprice". Notice the differences in the headlight styling and grille work.

No, they only purchased the impala in '82 and '85, after the impala name was dropped in favor of the caprice, they used the '86-'90 caprice, then they purchased the caprice in '94,'95, and '96.
