The dashboard and gear lever really look like belonging to an ID model but the rest disagrees..! The grey rubber around the wind screen, flames on the rear wings, door panels, wheel covers, color combination (painted turquoise roof) and the second aluminium trim under the front bumper are signining as DS. |

Maybe it is an earlier model?? I don't know these Citroens very well but there must have been detail styling changes every few years. My brother had a 1956 DS in the 1980s but that had the semi-automatic gears (hydraulic clutch) with the shift lever on top of the dash. Indeed the dashboard looks a bit strange, but all other details match with a 1958 DS 19 (the only year the turquoise roof was combined with a black body), except maybe the colour of the double chevrons on the boot lid, which seems to be silver coloured and should have been gold coloured on a DS... And the painted C-pillar is a bit disturbing (should have been covered with an aluminum ribbed plate. Nevertheless most probably a DS, indeed. |
