Seen a first time briefly: 00:13:00 Then again: 00:23:18 And used a lot starting at that scene: 00:52:03 A story in the story: Reminds another movie? |

It is the second generation, and it is a 1960. I am not sure whether or not it is a Sport Fury but I think it is. |

Kinda funny how it's a red and white Plymouth Fury. Must be a reference to Christine since this was also a story by Stephen King I believe. |

Especially in the scene where a guy is chased by the car (though here somebody drives the car...) |

I can't believe they destroyed a 1960 Fury. >:( Early '60s Chrysler products are extremely difficult to get parts for. |

I really love the 1960 model. Red and white to?! Coool! ^^ By the way they don't destroy a '60 Plymouth. It's a '59 Plymouth, look closely and you will see that it's not the same car. |

Right, I did not notice it but it is clearly not the same car |

Pardon my ignorance but what's the difference between a '59 and a '60? |

Body on mounted frame in 1959 vs. unibody 1960 |

I agree with "Fury". The car who scrash is not the same. Look the back wing and you shall see the difference. It's a 59 wing instead of a 60 like on all the other pictures -- Last edit: 2006-11-15 02:05:43 |

I like the 1958 model the most from the fist generation Fury's (1957-1960). Actually it became a submodel in 1959, the ugliest year, and if you don't see that all these red/white Fury coupés used in Stephen King-movies are such an obvious wink to the film 'Christine' from 1983, you know it now. In Cat's Eye is olso a Fury featered from that same first run and olso in Storm Of The Century, if I'm correct. And, I can clearly see that the burning Fury as depicted by 'A story in a story' is a 1959 model. Greets, a Stephen King-fan |

It pissed me off though that they didn't use the 58' Fury in It the movie. In the book there was a red and white 1958 Fury. |

That's pretty funny, Firebird. But I think this might help. http://www.59sportfury.net/showcase/index.html Now, that's the '59 Fury. Sport Fury, actually. -- Last edit: 2009-11-08 19:11:41 |

This is Christine's younger sister, lol. |

yea there is no way they would wreck a 1960 Fury. And the difference is vey clear. A '60 Fury has actual fins. A '59 has half-assed fins. |

Beautiful car, beautiful sound!. The first time i watched it i had to smile at the several little homages/allusions to "christine", be it the make and model, color tone, or the short chase scene. I gotta say, i loathe that horrid looking squared-off steering wheel. -- Last edit: 2015-08-24 13:19:30 |

One of life's little driving pleasures is letting the steering wheel spin back through your hands after making a turn. Can't do that with a square wheel. I never liked it either and no doubt the public agreed because that feature did not last long. (The idea was to increase visibility of the dashboard gauges but still........) |

That fire looks fake AF. They just opened the hood, door, trunk, and CGI'd some fire in. |
