This looks like a 1933 Studebaker at first glance but the lights are the wrong shape - this first one is a top line President Speedway model - http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2586/3872970365_affc33074d_o.jpg - and this one is a basic Six - http://www.remarkablecars.com/main/studebaker/1933-studebaker.jpg. It is something else. -- Last edit: 2010-12-12 00:53:17 |

It is a 1933 Hudson - they used those lights in 1932 and 1933 - the '32 did not have the curved radiator shell. Link to "www.picturearchive.co.za" There were two models: the Pacemaker Standard 8 (119" wb) and the Pacemaker Major 8 (132" wb). This car does not look very big so is probably the Standard model. If it survived today this would be a very rare car - Hudson only made about 2400 in 1933 and most of them would have been the cheaper six cylinder models. -- Last edit: 2010-12-12 01:05:21 |

the "Assyrian griffin" hood ornament definitely identifies it as a '33 Hudson. I posted photos of a restored '33 Hudson coupe & a close up of it's hood ornament. |
