Excellent find - Hillman Minx estate, assembled by Isuzu. Possibly S3 (UK date Sept 58) or later, but Japanese trim may be different so UK info unreliable?

Update: this is a unique Japanese version - "In 1962 an estate was produced, unlike any made for the home market: it had the then current Series IIIA front end, but with the smaller Series I-III windscreen and a 2-door body. The rear of the car sported the Series IIIA style fins." - from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andymurkin/Hillman/Hillinfo/IsuzuMinx.html . 2 door body visible here.

Hi, that's my photobucket page with the Hillman Express - scanned from an Isuzu brochure of the era. If you are interested in Isuzu Hillmans I have researched and written a history of them. It fills in lots of gaps and corrects a number of mistakes that are currently circulating on the internet - for example, the Express estate was first built in 1958/9, not 1962 as quoted in some websites. Also, after 1958 Isuzu Minxes were built completely in Japan, not assembled from imported parts.

If you would like a free copy of the history, contact me at vichughes165@gmail.com

@lemansvk - Vic - have emailed you about your offer of the history. Also there is /vehicle_374869-Isuzu-Hillman-Minx-1959.html which I have not been able to confirm for series or model year.

Recommended reading for any other Rootesaholics. Plus gives a link to a Japanese blog page of Isuzu Minx brochure pics which will be useful reference http://hide-g.blog.so-net.ne.jp/2005-11-17 .

As comments above and pictures in lemansvk's history, changing to 1960+ [PT200]. Photo clearly does not have the Minx S3a-c side finline of 1962+ PT300 shown in the photobucket link, but looks more ornate paint than and without sidebars in windows of 58/59 PT100.
