G-MANN wrote If it's a 2-star car I think it's worth listing, at least to give people a chance of identifying it (there must be a chance). If no one ever gets, then maybe it can be deleted.

Sunbar wrote ....agreed it is possible that the dashboard or instruments can be recognised and a manufacturer and model identified in the future.

This is where any picture captures of internal details are useful to confirm additional details of models where normally only the outside is seen in the movie. As has been pointed-out before IMCDb is useful for showing the rear of vehicles where normally pictures on the internet will be 'front-side'. Adding thumbnails of interiors increases the amount of information for identification still further.

I have been scratching my head about this for a while now. It's odd, because: -

1) The man in the thumbnail looks to be sitting in the back of an FX3, or possibly an FL1 Hire car.
2) The only dashboard I have been able to find in an FX3 picture is nothing like that.
3) The steering wheel of the vehicle is on the right, but the instruments are on the left, if you look at the curvature of the windscreen lower beading, they are not central.

I have no idea what it might be except to say that the steering wheel and the instruments have a Nuffield resemblance, but the Nuffield taxi has a flat base to the windscreen.

Studio scenes were filmed at Warner Bros. in Los Angeles, so perhaps a "buck" (partial car body for back projection shots) made from an American car was converted to right hand drive. The view of the street looks like a painting, although it's hard to tell because of the poor image quality.

I congratulate you on a logical interpretation of what we can see! I don't think that we can do anything more with it.

I'm sure there is a DVD quality version available. Untill someone replaces these pictures we can only guess what it is.

I replaced it with a better picture.

Here is the other view of the interior:

So a US studio mock-up consisting of a LHD Austin FX3 interior with the steering wheel on the UK right side.
